AFB Golden Enterprise makes skincare, haircare, baby care and household products the way nature intended, using plant-based ingredients that are gentle, safe and genuinely good for you and your family.

We're a Ghanaian company rooted in African botanical heritage, paired with real formulation expertise and responsible manufacturing. That's what lets us create products that don't just sit nicely on a shelf, but actually improve people's skin, support local communities, and go easier on the planet.

But we're more than a cosmetics company. We're building a movement around sustainable beauty, African innovation, and entrepreneurship that includes everyone, because beauty with purpose should mean something bigger than the product itself.

Born from purpose

AFB Golden Enterprise didn't start as a business plan. It started with a loss. Our founder, Alice Frimpomaa Boateng, lost her beloved aunt to skin cancer. That loss got her thinking, really thinking, about skin health, about what we put on our bodies every day, and about the toll the beauty industry takes on the planet. The more she looked into it, the more uneasy she felt about the harsh chemicals in everyday cosmetics and the mountain of single-use plastic the industry leaves behind.

Out of that grief came a mission: to build beauty products that put health, sustainability and wellbeing first, while opening doors for other people along the way.

Six years on, that mission has grown into a Ghanaian enterprise with customers and business activity in over 15 countries across three continents.

What we do

We formulate and manufacture skincare, haircare, baby care, wellness products, plant-based household products, and bespoke hair and skincare solutions. Our brands include Honampa, Nwipa (also written Nwinpa), AFB Diamond and Roycare Baby.

We work closely with African botanical ingredients like shea butter, mango butter, avocado, baobab, coconut, moringa and neem, bringing indigenous resources together with modern product innovation.

Our philosophy comes down to three words: Go Green. Go Healthy.

Sustainability by default

For us, sustainability isn't a marketing line. It's how we run the business, from sourcing and formulation right through to packaging, delivery and how customers actually use the product.

We've built a return-and-refill model, so customers can bring back eligible packaging and get a discount on their next purchase, which gives everyone a reason to reuse rather than throw away. We've also introduced wheat-straw packaging as a lower-impact alternative to conventional materials, and we partner with a green delivery company that gets products to customers by electric bike wherever possible.

On the sourcing side, we work directly with local farmers and women's cooperatives, which helps us secure quality raw materials while strengthening local livelihoods.

We think sustainability should be the default setting for a business, not an add-on.

Beauty with a social purpose

Our products are only part of the story. We also use AFB as a platform to promote skin health, raise awareness of Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases, and support skills development and economic empowerment, particularly for women, young people and marginalised communities.

Inspired by our founder's own experience, we run community education and awareness activities around skin health and Skin NTDs, and so far we've reached more than 2,000 people.

We genuinely believe a beauty brand can double as a platform for education and change.

Empowering women and youth

We believe skills open doors. Through our training and entrepreneurship programmes, we've worked with more than 800 people, with a particular focus on women, young people and those with limited access to formal economic opportunities.

The goal is simple: give people practical skills they can turn into income, confidence and independence, and make sure economic growth includes everyone.

Industry leadership and global reach

AFB Golden Enterprise plays an active role in growing Ghana's cosmetics industry and the wider African business ecosystem. Our founder serves as Communications Director for the Southern Ghana Cosmetics Cluster, helping cosmetics businesses connect, communicate and grow together.

We've taken part in regional and international trade fairs and market-entry initiatives, including AfCFTA expeditions to Tanzania, Togo and Kenya, connecting us with customers, distributors and partners across African and international markets.

Through all of this, we continue to represent Ghanaian green innovation on the global stage.

Recognition

Our work has been recognised nationally, including National Entrepreneur of the Year from the Ghana National Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs, and Best National Fashion, Beauty and Wellness Brand.

Our Mission

To develop safe, effective and sustainable beauty and wellness products that improve lives, while advancing responsible manufacturing, environmental stewardship, local value creation and economic empowerment.

Our Vision

To become Africa's leading climate-smart beauty manufacturer, known globally for innovation, sustainability, product excellence and meaningful impact. We want to see African botanical resources transformed locally into high-value, globally competitive products, creating jobs and strengthening communities along the way.

Our ambition

We want AFB Golden Enterprise to become a household name for green cosmetics in Africa, with our products on the shelves of premium malls and retailers across the continent and beyond.

But our ambition doesn't stop at selling products. We want to build a globally recognised African green beauty brand, strengthen sustainable and circular manufacturing, champion responsible sourcing, create opportunities for women and young people, advance skin health and Skin NTD awareness, cut down on waste, strengthen Ghana's cosmetics ecosystem, and show what sustainable African enterprise can really achieve.

Our promise

Quality. Safety. Sustainability. Innovation. Integrity. Impact.

For us, beauty isn't only about how you look. It's about how we live, how we produce, how we treat our planet, and how many lives we can touch along the way.

If there is a future, it should be green

At AFB Golden Enterprise, we believe the future we build today has to be healthier for people, kinder to the planet, and more inclusive for the generations that follow. We're working toward that through sustainable beauty, responsible manufacturing, African innovation, circular solutions and economic empowerment.

Because sustainability was never just about protecting tomorrow. It's about creating a future worth living in.
